We started out as a manufacturer of remote-controlled aircraft for model-making enthusiasts. Coming from this background, we recognise that safety is the cornerstone of the usability and capability of our products. This belief extends to the empowerment of the people who keep us safe every day. From Fire and Rescue to the Coast Guard and Law Enforcement, we believe a view from above will help first responders overcome obstacles and make us safer. Our humble beginnings started with innovation and accessibility in the aircraft industry. From the first commercially successful ready-to-fly fixed wing RC airplane, to ground-breaking electric aircraft and next-generation aerial video quadcopters, Yuneec has pushed the limits above and beyond in electric aviation for over 15 years.
With hundreds of patents filed, Yuneec’s core technologies power its manned aircraft as well as its drones and its market leading line of radio controlled aircraft for the hobby market
Yuneec International manufactures over 1 million units a year, sold under OEM/ODM brands as well as the Typhoon brand of multi-copters. The Company’s achievements include the introduction of the hobby industry’s first “Ready to Fly” radio control electric powered airplane and the design and manufacture of the market leading radio controlled helicopters and micro-copters.
Yuneec’s two seat electric powered airplane, the E430, features a 48KW electric propulsion system and a carbon fibre composite airframe. Recognizing this achievement, Yuneec International was awarded the Lindbergh Electric Aircraft Prize (LEAP) by Erik Lindbergh, the grandson of Charles A. Lindbergh and Anne Morrow Lindbergh.
The E-Spyder, a single seat electric powered aircraft features the innovative PowerDrive 24 propulsion system integrating the Motor, Motor Controller, 75 VOLT Battery, and Charger. The E-Spyder received the world’s first type certification for an electric aircraft from Deutschen Ultraleichtflugverbandes (DULV) E.V in 2013.
In 2014, Yuneec introduced the ready-to-fly, out-of-the-box drone. The Typhoon Q500 quadcopter featured a 1080p camera (60 FPS), a 3 Axis gimbal and 5.8GHz long distance real-time digital video link. The Typhoon Q500 has the Smart Transmitter (the “ST-10 series Ground Station”) combining a 2.4GHz radio control transmitter with a 5.8GHz Digital video link along with a built-in Android touch screen, creating an easy-to-fly platform perfect for video capture.
One of the world’s most innovative technology companies is involved in one of the most innovative multicopter manufacturers; this secures them access to the promising drone market and us access to cutting-edge chip technology.
The Yuneec Typhoon H is the very first semi-professional hexacopter as a ready-to-fly version, which, for the first time, has been equipped with Intel RealSense technology. RealSense allows the Typhoon H to detect obstacles and automatically dodge them – a revolution in obstacle detection.
Thanks to the Breeze, YUNEEC has been able to create an entirely new drone segment. The 4K selfie drone with GPS, IPS and sensational picture quality for under $500.
